Yas Acres is on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, the destination that holds Yas Marina Circuit, Ferrari World, Yas Links and Yas Waterworld. Aldar's community material places Ferrari World around 4 minutes away, Yas Mall around 7 minutes and Abu Dhabi International Airport around 15 minutes by car.

Yas Acres is developed by Aldar Properties, the Abu Dhabi developer behind several Yas Island communities. Aldar launched Yas Acres in April 2016 and described it then as its largest project, began construction in October 2016, awarded an AED 1.7 billion development contract in May 2017 and introduced The Cedars at Yas Acres in September 2018.

Aldar publishes Yas Acres as a community of 2 to 3 bedroom townhouses and 4 to 5 bedroom villas. Total areas run from 217 sqm to 632 sqm, roughly 2,336 sq ft to 6,803 sq ft. The Cedars neighbourhood within the masterplan adds 3 bedroom townhouses along with 3 and 4 bedroom semi-detached villas.

Aldar's published Cedars floor plans give total gross sellable areas from 312 sqm to 333 sqm for 3 bedroom townhouses, across mid and end unit types. Three bedroom semi-detached villas are shown at 314 sqm and 340 sqm, and 4 bedroom semi-detached villas at 347 sqm and 354 sqm, with a study or a maid's room in several layouts.

It is the golf course at the centre of Yas Acres: a floodlit 9 hole, par 36 layout of 3,700 yards designed by Fry/Straka, named World's Best 9-Hole Golf Course at the 2024 World Golf Awards. The club also holds a golf performance institute, a pro shop, a gym, padel tennis, a pool, a kids club and three dining venues.

Aldar lists swimming pools, parks, gyms, a canal promenade and Design for the Environment features. The Cedars is planned with a cycling and jogging track, landscaped parks, and retail and community centres with shops, cafes and restaurants, plus mosques along its avenues. Two international schools sit a short distance from the community.
