Total areas change with the balcony or terrace on each floor, so the developer's unit sheets give a range for every layout: in Plaza 1 the studio runs from 354 to 546 sq ft, a one bedroom from 587 to 838 sq ft, a two bedroom from 1,025 to 1,407 sq ft, and a four bedroom townhouse from 2,331 to 2,345 sq ft over two levels with a terrace. The plans show an open kitchen beside the living and dining room, built in wardrobes, fully tiled bathrooms and guest toilets where the layout allows, double glazed windows, and a laundry room in some apartments.

Masdar City is a planned district of shaded pedestrian streets, research institutions and a free zone business community, and Plaza sits inside it rather than on its edge. The developer's location sheet puts Plaza 1 10 minutes on foot from Masdar Central Park and from Park Khalifa City, 5 minutes by car from Abu Dhabi International Airport, 10 minutes from Al Raha Mall and Beach, 13 minutes from Ferrari World and 15 minutes from Yas Island, and the sheet for Plaza 2 gives 7 minutes to the airport. Schools, mosques, banks and community retail sit within walking distance of the plot.

Payment plan and handover

Reportage publishes a starting price of AED 500,000 for homes at Plaza. The developer runs more than one payment schedule on its Abu Dhabi projects, so the Down Payment and the instalment pattern are set unit by unit at reservation. It has not published a handover date for either building, and its own project pages still show both under construction, so our team confirms the current position of each building in writing before you reserve. Masdar City is one of the areas of Abu Dhabi where homes are sold to buyers of any nationality.

Who it suits

Plaza suits buyers who want a smaller entry price than the islands carry, families looking for a four bedroom townhouse inside a walkable low carbon district, and investors who follow Masdar City because its universities, clean energy companies and free zone businesses keep rental demand steady. Studios and one bedroom apartments make up the larger part of Plaza 1, so the building suits first time buyers and landlords.
