Count the costs around your Down Payment

AI illustration of a floor plan and keys on a property planning desk
Your Down Payment is the largest amount you prepare, but it is rarely the only one. Buying a ready home in Abu Dhabi also brings registration and transfer charges, mortgage arrangement and valuation costs, required insurance, moving, furnishing and service charges that start from the day you become the owner. A plan built on the Down Payment alone can leave you short in the final week, when changes are hardest. Before you make an offer, ask your bank and your agent for written estimates of each item, then list them beside the Down Payment with the date each falls due. Add a buffer for surprises, such as a repair found at the final walk-through. You will know the full cash you need, not just the headline figure. Prepared by Masterpiece Property.
