Keep the paper trail that settles questions

A tenancy runs for a year or more, and memories of who agreed what fade quickly. Keep one folder, paper or digital, for everything linked to your Abu Dhabi rental: the registered tenancy contract, payment receipts, notices from the landlord, repair requests with the replies, and dated photos of the home. When a question comes up about a repair, a payment or the deposit, the answer is often already in that folder. Phone calls are the gap in most records. After any call that settles something, send a short message that sums it up, for example confirming that the AC technician will visit on Saturday morning. If a disagreement does arise later, a clear timeline helps both sides, and it helps any qualified adviser you choose to consult. Prepared by Masterpiece Property.
