An apartment viewing tells you little about the journeys you will repeat every week. Before choosing a rental, make a short list of regular destinations: work, groceries, family visits and any school or nursery. Travel from the actual building entrance, including the walk to your car or transport stop. For example, a nearby supermarket may require a longer route because the entrance faces another road. Check whether the shops you need are operating and whether their hours suit you. Record what you observed alongside the rent, room layout and property condition.
