Decide how viewings will run

AI illustration of a shaded villa terrace and landscaped garden
Selling a home you still live in means sharing it with strangers for a few weeks. Agree the routine with your agent before the first enquiry arrives: who holds the keys, which days and times suit you, how much notice you need and whether you will be at home during visits. A clear routine protects your daily life and keeps viewings punctual. Consider a family in a Mohammed Bin Zayed City villa with school runs, a pet and evening commitments. Weekday slots within set hours, a day's notice, the pet out with a family member and the agent locking up afterwards can all go into one short written note. Review the arrangement after the first week and adjust what is not working. Prepared by Masterpiece Property. AI-generated illustration, not a photograph of an actual property or project.

Agree in writing how the remaining payments will be made: replacement cheques from the new bank or another method the landlord accepts. Exchange the cheques in person or through the broker against a signed receipt, and get the old cheques back or a written confirmation that they have been cancelled. Keep the old account open until the sw
