Look beyond the unit's walls

A well-drawn apartment plan can hide details that matter outside its walls. Request the full floor layout and locate the selected unit relative to lifts, staircases, service rooms and neighbouring entrances. Trace the journey from the lift to your front door and note where corridors turn or narrow. For example, an entrance directly opposite a lift lobby may offer quick access but a different privacy experience from one at the end of a corridor. Compare those trade-offs with your own preferences rather than labelling either position better. Ask which surrounding details are confirmed and whether the plan is the current version.
